Introduction of B.Sc. in Anaesthesia Technology

Anaesthesia Technology specialists are allied healthcare professionals who assist in the management and monitoring of anaesthesia and have an all-encompassing knowledge of anaesthesia techniques, technology, supplies, and instruments. Anaesthetists are the single largest hospital medical speciality and their skills are utilised in all facets of patient care. Besides, anaesthetists have a range of practice that expands beyond anaesthesia comprising intensive care and pain management. 4 Years (8 Semesters)

Eligibility criteria:

10+2 in Science stream from a recognized educational Board with Physics, Chemistry, English and Biology as the main subjects at 10+2 level. A minimum aggregate score of 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) at the 10+2 level.

The role of an anesthesiologist is very important during the operations since any allergic reactions may occur in the patient’s body due to the effect of anesthesia. The duty of the anesthesiologist is to keep an eye on the breathing, blood pressure & heart rate of the patient. You can also work as a volunteer in any local hospitals or at a health care clinic to gain experience. Other opportunities may exist in military, research field, etc. After gaining experience, you can work as a teacher in the area of anesthesiology in national & international universities.
