Blood Donation Camp at Dolphin (PG ) College of Science & Agriculture, Chunni Kalan Fathegarh Sahib ,Students & Staff members donate 83 units of blood Taking yet another step towards its multifarious activities for welfare of the society, Dolphin College and Bharat Vikash Parishad Kharar (Mohali) organized a Blood Donation Camp in co-ordination with the Blood Transfusion Unit of Civil Hospital Roopnagar(Ropar), Punjab. It is a method of farming system which primarily aimed at cultivating the land and raising crops in such a way, as to keep the soil alive and in good health by use of organic wastes (crop, animal and farm wastes, aquatic wastes) and other biological materials along with beneficial microbes (biofertilizers) to release nutrients to crops for increased sustainable production in an eco friendly pollution free environment.

Bhadson fish farm was under the leadership of Mr. Ranjoth Singh a progressive farmer and this farm was established in 1987 in Nanoki village Distrct Fatehgarh sahib having total area of 36 acres in which he is applying technical aspects of aquaculture of carps and from the last three years working on the aspect of aquaculture technology for Pangas fish. He is also producing quality fish seeds in hatchery inside his farm and transporting those to adjacent area Fish farmers Fish dissection was performed on site by the students under practical part of course anatomy and physiology of fin fish. fish was dissected by each student for the evaluation of buccopharyngeal modification in different types of carps and for the separation of different parts of internal fish anatomy for identification

Mushroom Production Training  Camp for B.Sc/M.Sc Agriculture Students collaborated with Horticulture Department of Punjab Dist: Fatehgarh Sahib (Punjab)

Mushroom cultivation in India is more encouraged by the govt by providing subsidies to farmers for mushroom cultivation. As this business does not create any type of pollution. And because of this, large numbers of growers are following this mushroom farming business & earns millions of money from this agricultural business plan.  You can easily start this farming mushroom at home with less capital, less space and less time and earn a lot from it in a very short time period. Government of India has decided to celebrate January 25 every year as “National Voters’ Day” It started from January 25, 2011 to mark Commission’s foundation day. District Administration of Fatehgarh Sahib(Punjab), organized different competitions at district level. Dolphin (PG) College of Science and Agriculture, Chunni-kalan got 1st Prize in Declamation Competition and 3rd Prize in Poetic Recitation.

Beekeeping Training & Workshop for B.SC Agriculture students.Beekeeping (or apiculture) is the maintenance of bee colonies, commonly in man-made hives, by humans. Most such bees are honey bees in the genus Apis, but other honey-producing bees such as Melipona stingless bees are also kept. A beekeeper (or apiarist) keeps bees in order to collect their honey and other products that the hive produce (including beeswax, propolis, flower pollen, bee pollen, and royal jelly), to pollinate crops, or to produce bees for sale to other beekeepers

The wild life educational tour was conducted by the Dolphin PG College of Science & Agriculture under the guidance of Dr Bhupinderjit Kaur(HOD) Dr.Surabhi Mishra and Ms. Palak Baweja ,Dept of Zoology & Fisheries sciences. This tour was organised to know about the wild life and it’s management as it is given under the university syllabus.To fulfill this objective , students of Msc zoology ( sem 2nd and 4th) have been taken to Ranthambore tiger reserve(National park), Rajasthan
